Friday, April 10th, 2009Since the global economy began to slow, the popular catchphrase being used everywhere seems to be economic stimulus. All top priorities seem to centre around stimulating the economy.
With the new home renovation tax credit to help ease the pain, I thought I’d do my part and offer an economic stimulus package of my own [...]
Looking for a Calgary Southwest Election Sign
Friday, September 26th, 2008I’m hoping somebody out there in the Calgary area will be able to help me out. I would love to get hold of a Stephen Harper Calgary Southwest campaign sign as a souvenir from this election. Preferably one of the larger corplast signs typically used on arterial roads.
I’ll pay whatever the packaging and mailing costs are. [...]
It’s Summer, and It’s Expensive!
Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008I haven’t posted much lately, nor have I kept up with the news as much as I’d like, but hey… it’s summer!
One of the popular topics of late has been the cost of everything. Whether it be the cost of oil, the potential cost of Stephane Dion’s Green Shaft, or how everything else will become [...]
Finally, Some Nice Weather
Sunday, May 25th, 2008It seems that Southern Ontario was finally blessed with some nice weekend weather. Not wanting to miss out on this bit of good fortune, we set out to take the boat out for its first run of the year.

The upper helm…
Looking back…

Monday, April 7th, 2008While reading this story on CTV.ca, I couldn’t help but notice a most unfortunate ad placement (see below).
The news story is about about a CP Rail train crash in Saskatchewan. Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the accident. Unfortunately, the advertisment that randomly appeared next to the story, is about railroad vacations in Western Canada!
When Will It End?
Tuesday, December 4th, 2007I’ve just returned from clearing the driveway, again.  It certainly looks like we’ll have a white Christmas this year!
It’s only December 3, and already I’ve used as much gas in the snowblower as I used the previous two winters combined.
I’m still enjoying the new house (moved across town in September), but I’m discovering that the large [...]
Happy Labour Day Weekend
Monday, September 3rd, 2007Preparing for our pending house move has been tiring, and there’s no shortage of things to do with our move less than 2 weeks away. However, with weather in southern Ontario just about perfect, I couldn’t let the long weekend go by without having some fun.  Summer is too short, so I hope all of you [...]
